Answer

The content on your homepage is broken down into into the following sections: lac-ourapproach-guide.jpg

The content and links for each section are managed by dynamically pulling content from a subpage. How to manage the content and links for each section is described below:

Section 1 Subpage

The headline in Section 1 of your Our Approach page can be managed by navigating to Websites > L.A. Compact > our_approach > Subpages > our_approach_section_1 > Settings in your NationBuilder Control Panel. Enter the Headline text that you want to display for this section in the Headline field.

NOTE: For this section to display properly on your homepage, "Section 1" needs to be entered in the Name field found under the Settings tab for this subpage, like this:

Section 1 has three tiles that link to anchor points further down on the Our Approach page. These tiles are "hard-coded" into the theme and cannot be changed without making changes to the custom code for your theme. Contact us for more info.

Section 1a Subpage

The content in Section 1a of your homepage can be managed by navigating to Websites > L.A.Compact > our_approach > Subpages > our_approach_section_1a > Settings > Featured content sliders in your NationBuilder Control Panel. Featured content sliders for this section of your homepage should be 1300px wide by 500px tall.

The optional Headline/Action text for slides in this section include three parts, the Title, Headline and Button text. Each part needs to be entered into the Headline/Action text field separated by a vertical bar character ("|"). For example, the headline/action text for this slide:

Section 2 Subpage

The content in Section 2 of your homepage can be managed by navigating to Websites > L.A. Compact > our_approach > Subpages > our_approach_section_2 in your NationBuilder Control Panel. You can edit the Headline for this section under the Settings tab.

Section 2 can also feature multiple subsections, each with their own thumbnail image, headline, and content. Each subsection is set up as a subpage of Section 2. Click on the Subpages tab for Section 2 to manage these links.

To work properly, the Name for each subsection/subpage must be a lowercase letter named in alphabetical order, starting with the letter "a". So for example, the letter "a" is all that should be entered in the Name field found under the Settings tab for the first link.

Each subsection has three components that you can customize:

  • The subsection headline. Enter the headline for your subsection in the Headline field found under the Settings tab.
  • The body Content (found under the "Content" tab). Remember to include a link to the page or website that each each section talks about at the end of your content.
  • The thumbnail image. To change the thumbnail image, upload an image named "thumbnail.png" to the Files tab. The image should be a circular image that's 261px wide by 261px tall, with a transparent background.

NOTE: For this section to display properly on your homepage, "Section 2" needs to be entered in the Name field found under the Settings tab for this subpage.

REMEMBER: To learn how to manage the content for the page you're linking to, check out How to manage content on other pages on my website.
