Apprenticeship Bootcamp Series Helps Organizations Build Pathways to Opportunity

In partnership with the LAUNCH Apprenticeship Network, UNITE-LA has taken the lead in advancing apprenticeship opportunities across Los Angeles County through our Apprenticeship Bootcamp Series. The series has brought together local organizations to strengthen their understanding of registered apprenticeship programs and begin developing actionable plans for implementation.

  • Session One provided an overview of the apprenticeship landscape in Los Angeles County, introduced the Division of Apprenticeship Standards (DAS) and U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), and emphasized the importance of strong partnerships.
  • Session Two focused on program design, including identifying occupations, reviewing resources, registration pathways and required components.
  • Session Three explored how to define target audiences and occupations, along with strategies for recruitment, registration and program support.

Through this series, organizations are walking away with concrete apprenticeship work plans, step-by-step action items with clear milestones and stronger regional connections. Looking ahead, Session Four will focus on Related Supplemental Instruction and how to partner with public institutions to build curriculum support, while Session Five will explore Apprenticeship Committees, Employer Engagement and DAS-752s. We look forward to sharing how these final sessions further equip partners to expand apprenticeship opportunities across Los Angeles.
