Meet UNITE-LA’s New President

UNITE-LA officially welcomed Alysia Bell as its President effective Sept. 1. Bell succeeds David Rattray, President & CEO of UNITE-LA for the past 24 years, who announced his retirement in March. Before becoming President, Bell served as Executive Vice President for UNITE-LA.

Bell credits Rattray with an "extraordinary roadmap to continue and expand on UNITE-LA’s important work, and our talented team is poised to carry on and amplify the impact for those we serve." Bell looks forward to collaborating with the organization’s long-tenured leadership team to elevate UNITE-LA's leadership as an ambitious, systems change organization enabled by our policy efforts and informed by our programmatic work. The L.A. Compact, Cash for College, L.A. Youth at Work, career pathways programming and issue advocacy work locally, statewide and nationally will grow as UNITE-LA continues to prioritize breaking down systemic, racial barriers.
