UNITE-LA Launches Set of Videos to Showcase Dual Enrollment Partnerships

UNITE-LA recently filmed two videos highlighting dual enrollment partnerships within the L.A. Region K-16 Collaborative. UNITE-LA chose partners with successful and impactful dual enrollment programs, showcasing student-centered programming and institutional support systems critical for academic success.

The first video showcases a partnership between LAUSD, represented by Will Rogers Continuation High School, and L.A. Valley College (LAVC). The video emphasizes educational benefits and critical support structures, like the Men of Color High Achieving (MOCHA) program at LAVC, which supports African American/Black-identifying students in excelling academically through mentorship, while also offering well-rounded support. The second video showcases a partnership between Centinela Valley Union High School District, represented by Hawthorne High School and El Camino College. This video focuses on student experiences and academic integration, offering valuable insights into similar initiatives elsewhere, such as career advising within community college pathways.

Highlighting both programs and student outcomes illustrates dual enrollment's tangible benefits, including increased student engagement and smoother transitions into college and careers. Special thanks to our partners in these institutions for their willingness to participate and share student-centered successes.
