We are thrilled to have Dominique Rougeau join the team as our L.A. Compact Coordinator. In this role, Dominique will support the day-to-day tasks of L.A. Compact work groups, including co-convening the L.A. Unified School District's Community Schools Steering Committee. She will also be responsible for enhancing the Compact's visibility and elevating the work of UNITE-LA and the Compact partners across multiple communication platforms.
Prior to joining UNITE-LA, Dominique served as press intern at the House Judiciary Committee.
In this capacity, she drafted social media content to publicly communicate the Committee's floor activity and statements. Dominique is eager to use her passion for communication and advocacy to further advance UNITE-LA's mission of ensuring that all children and youth in Los Angeles have access to a high-quality education.
Originally from the Inland Empire, Dominique completed her bachelor's degree in Communication Studies at the University of San Diego. Dominique later earned her master's degree in Political Communication from the American University.
